Lucknow’s man facilitated for representing India in World Cup

Lucknow: The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Lucknow, Deepak Kumar today honored Surya Pratap Sharma with 50,000 rupees for representing India in the Army Wrestling World Cup competition in Poland starting from November 17th to 22nd.

 

 

This physically disabled Surya Pratap have not participated but has also showed his talent in several other international competition before this which was organised in different countries.

SSP Deepak Kumar not only honored but also greeted Surya Pratap for his bright future during a program orgaised at his office in the state capital. He also termed his as future sportsperson besides gave him good blessings.

 

SSP facilitates Lucknow’s man for representing India in World Cup:

 

Surya Pratap Sharma not only hide his weakness of being physically disabled by making his strength has also so far won several medals in Para Wrestling not only in India but abroad too.

Now after winning medals in India, Surya Pratap is going to participate in the Army Wrestling World Cup competition in Poland starting from November 17th to 22nd.

 

 

SSP Lucknow Deepak Kumar promoted the player Surya Pratap Sharma by inviting him at his office and gave this budding sport personality a sum of Rs 50 thousand for his encouragement.

After meeting with SSP, Surya Pratap said that winning gold medal in the Wrestling World Cup competition for the country is his dream and apart from this, he is also preparing for the Para Olympics which is going to held in year 2020.

The left-handed batsman from Haryana is garnering praise from all quarters for the way he’s finishing games regularly in the most exciting IPL season.

Gavaskar reckons Tewatia’s whirlwind knock in Sharjah (in IPL 2020) where he smashed West Indies pacer Sheldon Cottrell for five sixes in an over, gave him the confidence that he belongs to the big stage.

Speaking on Cricket Live on Star Sports, Gavaskar said, “That assault on Sheldon Cottrell in Sharjah gave him the belief to do the impossible and the confidence that he belongs here. We saw the impossible (he did with the bat) the other day as well. There’s no twitching or touching the pads (which shows a batter’s nervousness) when he bats in the death overs. He just waits for the ball to be delivered and plays his shots. He’s got all the shots in the book, but most importantly his temperament to stay cool in a crisis is brilliant.”

Gavaskar has also nicknamed the 28-year-old cricketer the ‘ice-man’ and lauded Tewatia’s ability to remain unruffled during the tense moments.
