Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister launched 1076 direct helpline for complaints.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath launched the direct helpline 1076 on Thursday. This helpline will directly report to him for people to register complaints and air grievances against errant government officers from anywhere in the state.

The helpline will be dealt by the staff of CM’s office. The helpline number 1076, which will work 24/7 is likely to cast a shadow on bureaucrats who fail to respond to people`s complaints. Notably, the 500-seater call center for the helpline has the capacity to handle 80,000 inbound and 55,000 outbound calls on a daily basis.

According to the Chief Minister, the helpline would not only make the administrative system more responsive, but would also save the people from the trouble of travelling to Lucknow to lodge their complaints. When the complainant calls the helpline, he/she will get an SMS informing him/her that the complaint has been sent to the department concerned.

Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said that with the joint efforts of state and central government, efforts will be made to make this move more effective and successful across the state.

The chief minister also honored Rajveer Singh, the helpline logo-maker, with a cheque of Rs 21,000.
