CCTV cameras must be installed in covid ward : CM Yogi Adityanath

Directing the Chief Minister of UP, Yogi Adityanath to maintain the arrangements of covid hospitals, he said that 50 percent beds in L-1 covid hospitals should be provided with oxygen.

Oxygen is available in all beds of L-2 covid hospital. There is availability of oxygen and ventilators at all beds of L-3 hospital. CCTV cameras must be installed in the covid ward.

The Chief Minister said that an officer should be designated as incharge for increasing the number of beds in L-1, L-2 and L-3 covid hospitals as required.

He has also given instructions to purchase the ventilator according to the need.

He said that constant communication should be maintained with patients living in isolated houses in their homes.

Covid toll in Karnataka is a worrying sign for state government

Even though Karnataka recorded the lowest number of Covid deaths in April since the virus struck first in 2020, the state is recording a rise in the positivity rate (1.50 per cent). Five people died from the Covid infections in April as per the statistics released by the state health department. In March, the positivity rate stood around 0.53 per cent. In the first week of April it came down to 0.38 per cent, second week registered 0.56 per cent, third week it rose to 0.79 per cent and by end of April the Covid positivity rate touched 1.19 per cent.
