Good News : Corona medicine made in India, for only Rs 103

Across the country the speed of corona infection is increasing rapidly. Meanwhile, a good news has come from the country regarding Corona. Pharma company Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has succeeded in making Corona medicines. This medicine will be used for patients with minor symptoms of corona. The drug costs only Rs. 103. The company has named this drug FabiFlu. FabiFlu is the first Favipiravir drug to be approved for the treatment of Covid-19. This drug can be used 1,800 mg twice on the first day on the advice of doctors. After this, 800 mg dose (FabiFlu Dose) will be given twice a day for the next 14 days.

Glenmark is manufacturing this drug at Baddi facility in Himachal Pradesh. The company said that this drug will be made available through hospitals and retail channels. The Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company said on Friday that it had received manufacturing and production approval from the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI).

Covid toll in Karnataka is a worrying sign for state government

Even though Karnataka recorded the lowest number of Covid deaths in April since the virus struck first in 2020, the state is recording a rise in the positivity rate (1.50 per cent). Five people died from the Covid infections in April as per the statistics released by the state health department. In March, the positivity rate stood around 0.53 per cent. In the first week of April it came down to 0.38 per cent, second week registered 0.56 per cent, third week it rose to 0.79 per cent and by end of April the Covid positivity rate touched 1.19 per cent.
