Corona : 1396 new cases of covid-19 in 24 hours, Gujarat has left Delhi behind

The number of people infected with the Corona virus is increasing every day in the country. The total corona infection cases have so far been 27892 in India. At the same time, the death toll has reached 872.

The news of relief is that these 6185 are now completely free from this virus and they have been discharged from the hospital. Accordingly, there are now 20 thousand 835 cases of corona in India.

The state most affected by Corona is Maharashtra. The total cases have crossed 8 thousand, while the people who died are also the highest in this state. At the same time, Gujarat has left Delhi behind.

Gujarat has become the second most affected state from Corona after increasing cases steadily. Delhi is at number three. There have been 2918 cases so far, in which 54 have died. After this comes the number of Rajasthan.

So far 2185 confirmed cases have been reported here, in which 33 people have died. Madhya Pradesh has come at number five. So far 2096 cases have been reported here, in which 103 people have died.

Covid toll in Karnataka is a worrying sign for state government

Even though Karnataka recorded the lowest number of Covid deaths in April since the virus struck first in 2020, the state is recording a rise in the positivity rate (1.50 per cent). Five people died from the Covid infections in April as per the statistics released by the state health department. In March, the positivity rate stood around 0.53 per cent. In the first week of April it came down to 0.38 per cent, second week registered 0.56 per cent, third week it rose to 0.79 per cent and by end of April the Covid positivity rate touched 1.19 per cent.
