BMW launches 6 Series Gran Turismo diesel variant in India

New Delhi: The German based luxury automobile maker BMW, on June 21 launched the diesel variant of its 6 Series Gran Turismo model in India at a starting price of Rs 6.65 million.

The locally produced BMW 630d Gran Turismo diesel will be available in two design schemes-luxury line and M sport. It will be available across company’s dealerships in India from June 21 onwards, the company said in a statement.

While the BMW 630d Gran Turismo Luxury Line is priced at Rs 6.65 million, the BMW 630d Gran Turismo M Sport is priced at Rs 7.37 million (ex-showroom), it added.

 

BMW launches diesel variant of 6 Series Gran Turismo model in India:

 

The car is powered by a 3-litre, six-cylinder, diesel engine that churns out 265 horse power. The car is claimed to sprint from 0 – 100 km/hr in 6.1 seconds.

“With the diesel variant broaden, BMW has widen the range of choices for the company’s customers,” said BMW Group India President, Vikram Pawah.

The model is equipped with safety features such as anti-lock braking system with brake assist, dynamic stability control, including dynamic traction control, hill descent control and side-impact protection among others.

Improved version of Hyundai Creta launched in Indian market: Check it out here

Hyundai India launched the much-awaited Creta Knight Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 13.51 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India). This new variant is available in both petrol and diesel engine options and can be had either with a manual or an automatic transmission unit. To read more about the Creta Knight Edition, click here. In addition to this, the company has also introduced a model-year update for the Hyundai Creta with new feature additions.

The 2022 Hyundai Creta is now available in a new Denim Blue colour option and the Highline TPMS is now standard across all variants. The SX (O) trim now also gets a glossy black centre console. Furthermore, the company will offer the iMT option on the 1.5-litre petrol ‘S’ variant to further expand choices for the customers. The new S+ variant powered by a 1.4-litre T-GDi petrol engine with 7DCT now gets an additional set of features, such as –

Mechanically, the SUV continues to be powered by the existing petrol and diesel engine options.
