District hospital pathologies to be Modernised : S P Yadav

Lucknow. All the district hospital pathologies shall be modernised and equipped with latest technology machinery very soon.  Minister of State for Medical & Health & Zoological Sciences Dr S P Yadav said this while inaugurating a workshop on “NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND PROTOCOLS OF CLINICAL PATHOLOGY” by the Department of Pathology, KGMUat  Kalam Center, KGMU, Lucknow.

Minister of State Sri S P Yadav informed that state government has decided to upgrade the pathologies of all the district hospitals and new high end equipment will be supplied very soon and in order to ensure the maximum utilization the selected supplying companies have been asked to train the doctors and technician on these sophisticated equipment.

Dr. Sunil Srivastava, Director General, Medical & Health informed that this training cum workshop will cover the technical plus hands on training to doctors and technicians which will help them to provide services at gross root level.

Dr. Suresh Chandra, Director Stores stated that these type of trainings are a mile stone for the doctors of state health services as it will help them to refresh their skills and knowledge and will help them to introduce to new technologies and advancements. It will also help them to understand the protocols and quality standards applicable and ideal for pathology labs to sustain the challenges from private lab and will help them to break the myth about the quality of reports.

Dr.Ashutosh Kumar, Prof & HOD, Department of Pathology, KGMU briefed about the new technological developments in modern pathology and their importance in modern medicine and how a pathologist can help clinician to diagnose and treat the patients efficiently.

Dr. Wahid Ali, Associate Professor &Incharge Chemical Pathology Lab, 24-hr Emergency Lab Trauma Centre&OPD Pathology Lab informed about the new protocols and advancement in the lab of KGMU. Dr. Wahid Ali also informed that they are working to get NABL accreditation for KGMU Lab at earliest.

What monkey fled with a bag containing evidence in it: Read full story

The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.

In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).

The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.

The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.

Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.

In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.

The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
