City Level Science Fair, Regional Science City, Lucknow, Prof. A. S. Vidyarthi

City Level Science Fair at Regional Science City, Lucknow was today inaugurated by Prof. A. S. Vidyarthi, Director, Institute of Engineering & Technology.

In this City Level Science Fair, 19 individual and 14 Team projects are competing. The 3 days Science Fair is having projects highlighting the global problems and concern like Energy, Transport, Food, Agriculture, Anti-collision devices for trains More Irrigation in less water and more yield on less land. Some students have also made mechanism for automatic street lights means for saving electricity and farming in water and air etc.

The Chief Guest Prof. Vidyarthi took great interest and interacted with all the participants spending almost 2 hours in the Science Fair. He also gave suggestions to improve or make the projects better more viable and feasible. Project made on Earth Quack Resistance building techniques and Water collected from working of Air-conditioners in houses for use in day to day works are interesting to watch. These projects make us to believe that school students are aware about social and science / technology based problems. The Chief Guest of today’s function also asked students to be curious and logical. He suggested that we should always keep our eyes, ears and other senses opened and observe continuously about what is happening in their surroundings, why and how this is happening. He also motivated students that some of the skills are possible to develop in them by practice only. He appreciated the projects and innovative ideas of students and encouraged them to do better in Science & Technology.

This fair will remain open for 3 days. Tomorrow i.e. on 18.12.2015 the maximum students can take advantage of this Science Fair which will remain open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Students are requested to not miss this opportunity in their own City.

What monkey fled with a bag containing evidence in it: Read full story

The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.

In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).

The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.

The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.

Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.

In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.

The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
