Pramil Dwivedi becomes President of Rotary Club

Lucknow: Rotary Club of Lucknow Khaas celebrated its installation day, with the  a cordial welcome ceremony of our District Governer (RI Distt.3120) Rtn. Ved Prakash  on his official visit to R C of Lucknow Khaas. Rtn. Pramil Dwivedi took over as President of the club and introduced his team consisting of Secretary Rtn Dr RC Chadha and other directors and office bearers. Immediate Past President Rtn Anand Mukherjee shared achievements, awards, and a various  social projects undertaken  by the club during the previous year.

Club president Rtn. Rotary aims to serve Society and the under previleged. After Polio Eradication, the focus now is to concentrate on : Basic education & Literacy,  Disease prevention, Water and Sanitation, Maternal & Child Health, Since “Mankind is our business”, and we aim to “Be a gift to the World”

Now is the time to rise and come forward for another equally & more important programme which is “ERADICATION OF ILLITERACY”. We the Rotarians of South Asian Countries must motivate the Rotarians to adopt“TOTAL LITERACY MISSION”.

The club has a long history of selfless service to mankind. We are organizing Free Medical Camps where thousands and thousands patients were Treated successfully in slumps is still remembered with awe. Through the years, different Presidents have added their efforts to do more service projects. The Clean Drinking Water Project, the sanitation project and the Literacy projects have been started recently and have provided a relief To the people associated with Kranti Vidya Mandir; Bangla Bazar,and Visheshwar Dayal Inter College, beligarad Aliganj a school for the abjectly poor.

A fortnightly Medical camp has been doing its share in giving relief to the poor of Beligarad locality The DG complimented Dr Rama Mitra and  and assured her of cooperation, especially in the area of child health.

Rtn Pramil spoke of his plans of doing more social services during his tenure. Headded A hallmark of rotary Service has always been Rotarians’ commitment to doing what to be done. Every day, in tens of thousands of communities, we look around us to see how and where we can best help others, the help we provide responds to many situations and take many forms. On a club level, we might take books to school, help a disabled person with errands, or volunteer in a job program.

Rtn. Dr RC Chadha secretary, Rotary club of Lucknow Khas said, that” As a parent I know how precious our children and grand children are to us. We love them, care for them, and protect them as well as we are able. As a Rotarian, I believe that we also have a responsibility to love, care for, and protect the children in our communities- and everywhere in the world.

IPP Anand Mukherje presents a brief report of the work carried out during the previous year And that the work earned numerous awards for the club. Office bearers of sister clubs, Past District Governors: and Astt. Governors with the President and secretaries of other clubs were present at the function.

What monkey fled with a bag containing evidence in it: Read full story

The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.

In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).

The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.

The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.

Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.

In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.

The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
