Lava launches new budget smartphone



New Delhi: Domestic handset maker Lava on Friday launched the new budget Flair Z1 smartphone at a price of Rs.5,699.

The smartphone, which will run on Android Lollipop, will come with a 5-inch display and will be powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor along with a 1GB RAM unit.

The phone, which will have a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera, will come with 8 GB internal memory expandable up to 32 GB via a microSD slot.

The smartphone will be available in two colours – black and white – across all national retail stores and multi-brand outlets from the coming week and exclusively on Snapdeal from July 30.


Lenovo launches a free service called PC Pal




According to the company, the service will offer neutral, unbiased recommendations based on individual requirements, to help consumers make informed purchase decisions.

“A lot of consumers in India are looking to buy a PC, many of them for the first time. However, there are so many choices available that it can be difficult for a consumer to decide. This challenge of finding the right laptop can be addressed by PC Pal, by providing expert, impartial advice,” Rahul Agarwal, CEO and Managing Director, Lenovo India said.


The service is designed to simplify the purchase process and reduce the hassle of selecting the right laptop.

”PC Pal” asks a few simple questions and showcases the ideal configuration based on the consumer”s responses.
