Audi launches RS 6 Avant priced at Rs.1.35 crore

New Delhi: German luxury car manufacturer Audi on Thursday launched the Audi RS 6 Avant priced at Rs.1.35 crore (ex-showroom New Delhi).

“The RS 6 Avant is our fourth sportscar to be launched in India this year. The RS 6 Avant will help us consolidate our leadership position in the performance car segment,” Joe King, head, Audi India was quoted in statement.

“It (RS 6 Avant) will also inspire us to continue with our commitment to bring in the right product offering at the right time for our Indian customers,” King said.

The new sports car is powered by a ‘4.0 TFSI’ twin-turbo V8 engine which displaces 3,993 cc and develops a power output of 560 hp.

The new sports car can sprint from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 305 km per hour.

The company added that the new vehicle comes with Audi ‘Cylinder on Demand’ (COD) technology that can deactivate engine cylinders in part for low fuel consumption and emission output.

Currently, the Audi model range in India includes the A3 sedan, Audi A3 cabriolet, A4 sedan, A6 sedan, A7 sportback, A8 L, Q3, Q5, Q7, S4, S6, RS 5 coupé, RS 7 Sportback, TT coupé, R8, R8 spyder, R8 V10 plus and R8 LMX.

Hyundai India launched the much-awaited Creta Knight Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 13.51 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India). This new variant is available in both petrol and diesel engine options and can be had either with a manual or an automatic transmission unit. To read more about the Creta Knight Edition, click here. In addition to this, the company has also introduced a model-year update for the Hyundai Creta with new feature additions.

The 2022 Hyundai Creta is now available in a new Denim Blue colour option and the Highline TPMS is now standard across all variants. The SX (O) trim now also gets a glossy black centre console. Furthermore, the company will offer the iMT option on the 1.5-litre petrol ‘S’ variant to further expand choices for the customers. The new S+ variant powered by a 1.4-litre T-GDi petrol engine with 7DCT now gets an additional set of features, such as –

– Smart panoramic sunroof

– 16-inch black alloy wheels

– Smartphone wireless charger

– Rear Disc Brakes

– Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

– Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)

– Hill start assist control (HAC)

– Paddle shifters

– Metal pedals

– Electric and auto-folding ORVMs

– Power window auto up/down

Mechanically, the SUV continues to be powered by the existing petrol and diesel engine options.
