If someone files a petition, we will reconsider cases against Yogi Adityanath: SP chief Akhilesh Yadav

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said there were more charges against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the deputy chief minister than there are Sections in the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

“There are some serious allegations against the chief minister…If someone files a petition, we will reconsider cases against them…,” Akhilesh Yadav said.

Akhilesh Yadav said if his party comes to power after winning this year’s Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, it will double the number of police vehicles so that they could reach the crime spot as soon as possible.

 

Akhilesh Yadav also took a dig at Yogi Adityanath over the latter’s “garmi shaant karwa dengey” comment on the SP-RLD (Rashtriya Lok Dal) alliance. The SP chief said, “Jis din garmi khatam ho jayegi to hum log mar jayenge. Agar garm khoon nahi baha to hum zinda kaise rahenge? [If there is no heat, we will die. If hot blood does not flow, how will we remain alive?].”

He said that since the SP-RLD alliance has received people’s support, the BJP has become nervous.

Akhilesh Yadav was responding to Yogi Adityanath for his “garmi shaant karwa dengey” comment. Yogi Adityanath had earlier said, “They (Akhilesh Yadav) are once again coming up with a new envelope. Only the envelope is new, material is still same old, rotten of mafias, riots…After 10 March, inki puri garmi shaant karwa dengey.

Hitting out at the Bharatya Janata Party (BJP), Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said that everyone in Uttar Pradesh wants to remove “negative thinkers”.

“This election is all about brotherhood vs the Bharatiya Janata Party…Everyone wants to remove the negative thinkers and this is happening all over Uttar Pradesh,” Akhilesh Yadav said.

“It is also an election of hope and fear because the Bharatiya Janata Party wants to contest elections by intimidation,” Akhilesh Yadav said.

Akhilesh Yadav also alleged BJP workers’ hand behind the illegal sale of alcohol.

Akhilesh Yadav’s comments came even as the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections are around the corner. Polls in Uttar Pradesh will be held from February 10 in seven phases. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.

The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.

In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).

The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.

The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.

Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.

In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.

The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
