KKR captain Eoin Morgan says ” Sunil Narine bowled as well as I have ever seen him”

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Eoin Morgan hailed spinner Sunil Narine for his performance against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Eliminator of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL). Narine turned in an all-round performance to lead KKR to victory on Monday.

He first took four wickets for 21 runs and his victims included RCB captain Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell, before smashing 26 runs off 15 balls to swing the momentum back in KKR’s favour in the chase.

“He was outstanding. Both with bat and ball his impact was huge. He changed momentum in our favour when he went out to bat after the platform the guys had laid at the top of the order and I think he bowled as well as I have ever seen him, which is saying a lot. The guy has been consistently exceptional whenever he takes the field and always seems to take big wickets in the game,” Morgan said in the post-match press conference.

Narine came in to bat when KKR were 79/3, needing 60 to win off 54 balls. He hit three sixes in the first over he faced and raced to 22 off eight balls.

Morgan said that there was more turn on offer in Sharjah on Monday than what was expected.

“Narine is always working on his game. I don’t think he was the only bowler to turn the ball. Varun Chakravarthy beat the bat a number of times, both inside and out, Yuzvendra Chahal did that as well. So I thought the wicket turned more than expected today,” he said.

He also said that KKR’s success in the UAE leg this season has been down to the fact that they have been able to implement head coach Brendon McCullim preferred brand of cricket. “In the first phase, we were still trying to implement Baz’s mantra of playing positive, aggressive cricket. A brand of the game that not only our fans would enjoy watching but also players would enjoy playing. In that first phase it didn’t quite happened, we showed glimpses of it in different games. But I think people have turned up with a different motivation during this second phase and drive to play that brand of cricket. Our bowlers have shown us the way in that respect in when to try and take wickets and when to hold. I think that has led the way with the batting as well,” he said.

The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.

In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).

The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.

The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.

Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.

In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.

The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
