Construction work of Shri Ram Mandir to be completed by 2024: Reports

Construction work of much-awaited Shri Ram Mandir temple in Ayodhya will be completed by 2024.

According to several reports, foundation laying work at the Ram Janambhoomi temple will be completed by October, this year, post which the construction of the first floor will start.

It must be noted that the country will conduct Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

The Ram Janam Bhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has said that from the month of December, the second phase of construction work will begin which includes fixing of stones to create the structure of the upcoming grand temple.

The trust also said that work on base plinth will start with pink stones of Mirzapur and an order has been placed. Stones from other states including Rajasthan will also be used. The stones will be cut and shaped in the premises of Ram Janmabhoomi.

About 50 layers of 10-inch thick mixture of building material will be laid in about 50-feet deep foundation measuring 400 feet long and 300 feet wide.

An excavation of 40 feet in the ground has been done to strengthen the foundation of the Ram temple. Now the work of laying concrete layers is going on at the site.

So far 4 layers have been laid one on top of the other. The length of these layers is 400 feet and width is 300 feet. A layer which is about 12 inches thick is laid, it is laid and pressed with a roller. When this layer remains 10 inches by pressing 2 inches, then the second layer is laid.

When asked about completion of temple construction, trust’s General Secretary Champat Rai said that target is to complete the construction by 2024 and to cope up with slowdown in work caused due to Covid curbs, work is in progress in two shifts of 18-20 hours.

The court, generally, considers a person who commit a crime and the one who destroys the evidence, as criminals in the eyes of law. But what if an animal destroys the evidence of a crime committed by a human.

In a peculiar incident in Rajasthan, a monkey fled away with the evidence collected by the police in a murder case. The stolen evidence included the murder weapon (a blood-stained knife).

The incident came to light when the police appeared before the court and they had to provide the evidence in the hearing.

The hearing was about the crime which took place in September 2016, in which a person named Shashikant Sharma died at a primary health center under Chandwaji police station. After the body was found, the deceased’s relatives blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway, demanding an inquiry into the matter.

Following the investigation, the police had arrested Rahul Kandera and Mohanlal Kandera, residents of Chandwaji in relation to the murder. But, when the time came to produce the evidence related to the case, it was found that the police had no evidence with them because a monkey had stolen it from them.

In the court, the police said that the knife, which was the primary evidence, was also taken by the monkey. The cops informed that the evidence of the case was kept in a bag, which was being taken to the court.

The evidence bag contained the knife and 15 other important evidences. However, due to the lack of space in the malkhana, a bag full of evidence was kept under a tree, which led to the incident.
