Corona infects figure in India reached 50,8,953 and 15,685 died

Corona cases in India have crossed five lakh. According to the Health Ministry’s Saturday data, the highest number of cases of corona infection have been seen in a single day.

Statistics from the Ministry of Health show that in the last 24 hours, 18552 new cases of corona have been reported, while 384 people lost their lives due to the virus.

According to the Ministry of Health, the number of corona infections in India has been 50,8,953. These include 197387 active cases, while 15,685 people have lost their lives due to the deadly virus. Corona-infected 295881 patients have recovered.

Even though Karnataka recorded the lowest number of Covid deaths in April since the virus struck first in 2020, the state is recording a rise in the positivity rate (1.50 per cent). Five people died from the Covid infections in April as per the statistics released by the state health department. In March, the positivity rate stood around 0.53 per cent. In the first week of April it came down to 0.38 per cent, second week registered 0.56 per cent, third week it rose to 0.79 per cent and by end of April the Covid positivity rate touched 1.19 per cent.
