Reliance roles out unlimited data for JioPhone users at Rs 49

New Delhi: Reliance Jio would launch a free voice and unlimited data offer for Rs 49 on Republic Day (Jan 26) for its JioPhone users, a company statement said here on Thursday.

Reliance will offer a lower entry price-point of Rs 98 for free voice and unlimited data for 28 days as part of its “Jio Republic Day Offer” available from January 26, industry sources said on Tuesday.

 

 

In addition, all existing 1 GB per day packs will be enhanced to 1.5 GB per day and 1.5 GB per day packs to 2 GB per day.

 

Reliance roles out new plan at Rs 49 to give unlimited data for Jio users:

 

Industry sources said the flagship Rs 399 plan will now provide free voice, unlimited data of 1.5 GB daily, unlimited SMS (short message service) and premium subscription to Jio Apps for 84 days.

 

 

“Jio packs to be Rs 50 lower than competition and to provide 50 per cent more data at similar price points,” according to industry sources.

“JioPhone users will enjoy free voice calls and unlimited data (1GB at high speed) for 28 days at a price of only Rs 49. Jio is also introducing affordable data add-ons at Rs 11, Rs 21, Rs 51 and Rs 101,” the statement said.

 

 

The company said digital disempowerment and unfairness must end and it could be achieved in three ways-connectivity, data affordability and device affordability.
