JKP Trustee Ram Puri says following footsteps of Kripalu Ji to run medical facilities

New Delhi: The Jagadguru Kripalu Parishad (JKP) today awarded with prestigious award during the ‘Swasth Hindustan Conclave 2017’ for providing excellent and free health care services in the society organized by ‘Zee Hindustan’ Television Channel in New Delhi.

 

 

The Trustee Jagadguru Kripalu Parishad (JKP), Ram Puri received the award on behalf of JKP President Dr Vishakha Tripathi at a function held on Saturday in a hotel in the capital city.

The program was attended by Chief Guest and Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare J.P. Nadda along with Special Guest, Chairman of Kent RO system Dr. Mahesh Gupta.

 

 

On this occasion, the Chief guest J.P. Nadda appreciated the selfless service being done by JKP in the welfare of humanity with the aim of keeping the society healthy.

He described these free health services like counseling, free of cost operation and providing free medicines being given in three Jagadguru Kripalu Hospitals run by the Council, as an example of social service.

 

 

On the other hand, JKP’s trustee Ram Puri after receiving award reached Vrindavan’s Prem Mandir briefed media persons and informed that all the three Jagadguru Kripalu hospitals besides providing free treatment to patients also offering better facilities.

 

 

Not only this, besides providing free treatment to patients there were also arrangements like eating and drinking for the attendants of patients who came along with them.

He further added that their JKP also organised, other types of medical camps including free health check-up camps, free eye care camps, blood donation camps, bone check camps and health checkup camps for women were organized by the council from time to time.

The President of JKP, Dr Vishakha Tripathi who was overwhelmed after being honored in the ‘Swasth Hindustan Conclave 2017’ dedicated this award to Jagadguru Kripalu Ji Maharaj which was received by the Jagadguru Kripalu Hospital in the field medical services.

 

 

She told media persons that in view of the lack of health facilities in the rural areas of Bhaktidham in Mangadh district, the Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat (JKP) created these three charitable Jagadguru Kripalu Hospitals.

Where are these three hospitals:

1- Jagadguru Kripalu Hospital, Mangadh, Pratapgarh, UP:

Jagadguru Kripalu Hospital built in Mangadh is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. It has 75 beds. Every day about 700 patients treated with Allopathy, Homeopathy, Naturopathy and Acupressure. This hospital was constructed in year 2003, where medicines are given free of cost as well as treatment.

2- Jagadguru Kripalu Hospital, Barsana, Mathura, UP:

This 30-bed hospital was opened in 2007. In this hospital near about 350 to 400 patients come for treatment every day with facilities like Allopathy, Homeopathy, Naturopathy and Acupressure were given to each and every patients here for free of cost treatment beside providing free medicines.

 

 

3- Jagadguru Kripalu Hospital, Vrindavan, Mathura, UP:

This Charitable Hospital was started operating on 18th September 2015 in Vrindavan, free health facilities are being provided in the same manner as two other JKP hospitals.

 

 

About 500 patients come to the treatment every day in this hospital. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, this hospital has emergency OPD and Mini Operation Theater in the Emergency Room along with specialist doctors. Here people of every class come to treat themselves.

 

 

Beside this, the newly constructed hospital in Vrindavan having other various facilities including General Surgery, Eye Surgeon, Gynecologist, Dermatologist, Obstetrician, Dentist, Physiotherapy, Naturopathy and Homeopathy were present at all times to treat patients. The hospital also has state-of-the-art radiology labs, X-rays and ultrasound machines. Apart from this, the Pathology Lab is free to check blood, urine and stool test.

 

 

These three hospitals were equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities and hundred percent charitable. With the inspiration of Jagadguru Kripalu ji Maharaj, these hospitals offer free treatment to poor and helpless patients with facilities like Allopathy, Homeopathy, Naturopathy and Acupressure beside providing free of cost treatment, medicines are also given free in the hospital.

Meghalaya Reserves Legalized Gambling and Sports Betting for Tourists

The State Scores Extra High on Gaming-Friendly Industry Index

Meghalaya scored 92.85 out of 100 possible points in a Gaming Industry Index and proved to be India’s most gaming-friendly state following its recent profound legislation changes over the field allowing land-based and online gaming, including games of chance, under a licensing regime.

The index by the UK India Business Council (UKIBC) uses a scale of 0 to 100 to measure the level of legalisation on gambling and betting achieved by a state based on the scores over a set of seven different games – lottery, horse racing, betting on sports, poker, rummy, casino and fantasy sports

Starting from February last year, Meghalaya became the third state in India’s northeast to legalise gambling and betting after Sikkim and Nagaland. After consultations with the UKIBC, the state proceeded with the adoption of the Meghalaya Regulation of Gaming Act, 2021 and the nullification of the Meghalaya Prevention of Gambling Act, 1970. Subsequently in December, the Meghalaya Regulation of Gaming Rules, 2021 were notified and came into force.

All for the Tourists

The move to legalise and license various forms of offline and online betting and gambling in Meghalaya is aimed at boosting tourism and creating jobs, and altogether raising taxation revenues for the northeastern state. At the same time, the opportunities to bet and gamble legally will be reserved only for tourists and visitors.

“We came out with a Gaming Act and subsequently framed the Regulation of Gaming Rules, 2021. The government will accordingly issue licenses to operate games of skill and chance, both online and offline,” said James P. K. Sangma, Meghalaya State Law and Taxation Minister speaking in the capital city of Shillong. “But the legalized gambling and gaming will only be for tourists and not residents of Meghalaya,” he continued.

To be allowed to play, tourists and people visiting the state for work or business purposes will have to prove their non-resident status by presenting appropriate documents, in a process similar to a bank KYC (Know Your Customer) procedure.

Meghalaya Reaches Out to a Vast Market

With 140 millions of people in India estimated to bet regularly on sports, and a total of 370 million desi bettors around prominent sporting events, as per data from one of the latest reports by Esse N Videri, Meghalaya is set to reach out and take a piece of a vast market.

Estimates on the financial value of India’s sports betting market, combined across all types of offline channels and online sports and cricket predictions and betting platforms, speak about amounts between $130 and $150 billion (roughly between ₹9.7 and ₹11.5 lakh crore).

Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Delhi are shown to deliver the highest number of bettors and Meghalaya can count on substantial tourists flow from their betting circles. The sports betting communities of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana are also not to be underestimated.

Among the sports, cricket is most popular, registering 68 percent of the total bet count analyzed by Esse N Videri. Football takes second position with 11 percent of the bets, followed by betting on FIFA at 7 percent and on eCricket at 5 percent. The last position in the Top 5 of popular sports for betting in India is taken by tennis with 3 percent of the bet count.

Local Citizens will Still have Their Teer Betting

Meghalaya residents will still be permitted to participate in teer betting over arrow-shooting results. Teer is a traditional method of gambling, somewhat similar to a lottery draw, and held under the rules of the Meghalaya Regulation of the Game of Arrow Shooting and the Sale of Teer Tickets Act, 2018.

Teer includes bettors wagering on the number of arrows that reach the target which is placed about 50 meters away from a team of 20 archers positioned in a semicircle.

The archers shoot volleys of arrows at the target for ten minutes, and players place their bets choosing a number between 0 and 99 trying to guess the last two digits of the number of arrows that successfully pierce the target.

If, for example, the number of hits is 256, anyone who has bet on 56 wins an amount eight times bigger than their wager.
