Twinkle Khanna defends husband Akshay over controversy with Mallika Dua

Mumbai: Former Bollywood actress Twinkle Khanna who is also wife of actor Akshay Kumar recently came forward to defend her husband over his controversial comment on Mallika Dua during ongoing battle surrounding actor Akshay and his The Great Indian Laughter Challenge colleague Mallika Dua, author Twinkle Khanna ‘addressed the controversy’ by posting a statement on Twitter. Twinkle said that she would like to be kept out of the conversation but not without giving her opinion on the matter. Few hours after posting the statement, Twinkle, shared two ‘lame jokes,’ as she describes it and wrote, “What is Akshay Kumar’s favourite car? Bell Gadi” and “Why did Akshay Kumar go to the mosque? He wanted to hear some duas.” In The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, the judges are made to ring a bell, if they like a contestant’s act. Akshay’s ‘ring a bell’ comment refers to the same. News agency reported that the clip has not been aired by the channel, but it went viral on the Internet.

AIMIM patriarch breaks down while addressing a rally in Hyderabad: Watch video

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday broke down while addressing a vast gathering of his supporters near Hyderabad’s Mecca Masjid on the last Friday of Ramzan.

According to news agency ANI, the AIMIM chief was talking about the recent incidents of homes and shops of Muslims being bulldozed in several states when he became emotional. During his speech, he alleged that attempts are being made to wipe out the Muslims from the country.

“People are calling and telling me about atrocities being done to them, their villages and shops are being demolished. One should not lose hope, there’s no need to worry. We’ll face it with patience but will never raze a home,” Owaisi said, according to ANI.

 

 

 

He even warned PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and the BJP govt at the Centre that the Indian Muslims will never bow to such atrocities.

“Listen, Modi and Amit Shah. We will not bow before you. We are those who bow before Allah. Allah is enough for us,” Owaisi said as he recounted the recent incident of Khargone in Madhya Pradesh.
