Skoda Kodiaq tech specs LEAKED ahead of October launch

Czech automaker Skoda is gearing up for the launch of its flagship SUV—the Kodiaq—in India on October 4. Now ahead of its launch, the technical specifications of the new Kodiaq SUV have been leaked on the web, giving away most of the details of the model.

According to a leaked specs sheet of the Kodiaq, the India-bound model is 4,697 mm long, 1,882 mm wide, 1,665 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,791 mm. It offers a ground clearance of 188 mm and comes with 270 litres of luggage space, which is expandable.

Globally, Skoda Kodiaq gets a choice of five engines: two TDIs and three TSIs. While the engines in the range of 1.4-litre to 2.0-litre will develop power output from 123bhp to 189bhp, the most powerful petrol engine, the 2.0-litre TSI, will develop 177bhp. The most powerful diesel engine, the 2.0-TDI will be tuned to generate 189bhp.

Hyundai India launched the much-awaited Creta Knight Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 13.51 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India). In addition to this, the company has also introduced a model-year update for the Hyundai Creta with new feature additions.

The 2022 Hyundai Creta is now available in a new Denim Blue colour option and the Highline TPMS is now standard across all variants. The SX (O) trim now also gets a glossy black centre console. Furthermore, the company will offer the iMT option on the 1.5-litre petrol ‘S’ variant to further expand choices for the customers. The new S+ variant powered by a 1.4-litre T-GDi petrol engine with 7DCT now gets an additional set of features, such as –

– Smart panoramic sunroof

– 16-inch black alloy wheels

– Smartphone wireless charger

– Rear Disc Brakes

– Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

– Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)

– Hill start assist control (HAC)

– Paddle shifters

– Metal pedals

– Electric and auto-folding ORVMs

– Power window auto up/down

Mechanically, the SUV continues to be powered by the existing petrol and diesel engine options.
