12 Moto phones will be updated to Android 8 Oreo

Android Oreo update is coming soon to the Moto phones. Or at least it is coming for 12 Moto phones. Motorola  in a blogpost confirmed that the Android Oreo aka Android 8 will be soon coming to a number of Moto phones. The list of devices that will get this update include: Moto Z, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Force Droid, Moto Z Play, Moto Z Play Droid, Moto Z2 Play, Moto Z2 Force Edition, Moto X4, Moto G5, Moto G5 Plus, Moto G5S, and the Moto G5S Plus.

Google had released the final version of Android 8 Oreo, which is the latest version of Android, last month. The company, after rolling out the new software said that the Pixel and Nexus phones would be the first devices to get the software update. It later said that the company was also working with other phone makers in order to upgrade some of their devices to Oreo. Motorola, which uses stock aka pure Android, is one of the many phone makers that Google is working with to bring Android Oreo update.

Motorola in its blog post writes that only the listed phones will be upgraded to the new software. But the company has not yet specified when these devices will get the update. There is no time-frame fro now. However, considering the fact that Motorola uses stock Android in its phones and doesn’t add major modifications to Google’s software, usually the company pushes out the update somewhat faster compared to other phone companies.
