Mercedes-Benz launches design platform, three new vehicles

New Delhi: German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz on Thursday launched an exclusive ‘designo’ platform along with three new products.

“We are launching in India the ‘designo’ platform which will offer our customers with innumerable customisation options to choose from, ranging from exclusive paint finishes, high quality interior appointments and trims,” said Eberhard Kern, managing director and chief executive, Mercedes-Benz India.

At the event here, the company also launched three new products namely- the S 500 Coupé; AMG S 63 Coupé and the AMG G 63 ‘Crazy Colour’ edition.

According to the company, the three simultaneous launches is in accordance with its ‘15 in 15’ strategy — whereby the automobile manufacturer will launch 15 products in 2015.

Mercedes-Benz has till now introduced as many as nine new products in the Indian market this year.

“It is never before that Mercedes-Benz has launched three exclusive luxury cars in a day. With the launch of these cars we once again strongly reiterate our unmatched prowess in product offering in the top end league of the luxury car segment in India,” Kern said.

Product-wise, the S-Class Coupé is priced at Rs.2 crore, the top-end AMG S 63 Coupé at Rs.2.60 crore and the AMG G 63 ‘Crazy Colour’ edition at Rs.2.17 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).

Improved version of Hyundai Creta launched in Indian market: Check it out here

Hyundai India launched the much-awaited Creta Knight Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 13.51 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India). This new variant is available in both petrol and diesel engine options and can be had either with a manual or an automatic transmission unit. To read more about the Creta Knight Edition, click here. In addition to this, the company has also introduced a model-year update for the Hyundai Creta with new feature additions.

The 2022 Hyundai Creta is now available in a new Denim Blue colour option and the Highline TPMS is now standard across all variants. The SX (O) trim now also gets a glossy black centre console. Furthermore, the company will offer the iMT option on the 1.5-litre petrol ‘S’ variant to further expand choices for the customers. The new S+ variant powered by a 1.4-litre T-GDi petrol engine with 7DCT now gets an additional set of features, such as –

– Smart panoramic sunroof

– 16-inch black alloy wheels

– Smartphone wireless charger

– Rear Disc Brakes

– Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

– Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)

– Hill start assist control (HAC)

– Paddle shifters

– Metal pedals

– Electric and auto-folding ORVMs

– Power window auto up/down

Mechanically, the SUV continues to be powered by the existing petrol and diesel engine options.
