The big match between India and New Zealand i.e. the final of the World Test Championship is being played at Ajas Bowl Stadium in Southampton. Today is the 5th day of the game and New Zealand team will start playing 101 for 2 wickets. Captain Kane Williamson on the crease is on 12 and Ross Taylor is standing without opening the account. Let us tell you that Team India was reduced to 217 runs in the first innings. In this sense, he is still ahead of 116 runs against New Zealand.

After the first day, the fourth day of the match was also completely washed out due to rain. Play could take place only on the second and third days, but still two innings could not be completed. Day 5 of the match is going to be very special. It will be known on this day whether the result of the match will be out or a draw.

If on the 5th day it is sunny and the game takes place, then Team India’s target will be to stop New Zealand from taking the lead. If this happens, then the Kiwi team will be all out soon. In such a situation, Team India would like to give a big target to New Zealand in the Reserve Day by scoring maximum runs on the 5th day. Let us tell you that after the two days of the test were washed out by rain, it is almost certain to use the reserve day.

According to the Meteorological Department, like on the fourth day, the fans may be disappointed on the fifth day as well. That is, there is a 65% chance of rain in Southampton on Tuesday, so fans may get to see very little play. The sky will remain cloudy throughout the day. The temperature is likely to remain minimum 8 degree Celsius to maximum 17 degree Celsius.

The left-handed batsman from Haryana is garnering praise from all quarters for the way he’s finishing games regularly in the most exciting IPL season.

Gavaskar reckons Tewatia’s whirlwind knock in Sharjah (in IPL 2020) where he smashed West Indies pacer Sheldon Cottrell for five sixes in an over, gave him the confidence that he belongs to the big stage.

Speaking on Cricket Live on Star Sports, Gavaskar said, “That assault on Sheldon Cottrell in Sharjah gave him the belief to do the impossible and the confidence that he belongs here. We saw the impossible (he did with the bat) the other day as well. There’s no twitching or touching the pads (which shows a batter’s nervousness) when he bats in the death overs. He just waits for the ball to be delivered and plays his shots. He’s got all the shots in the book, but most importantly his temperament to stay cool in a crisis is brilliant.”

Gavaskar has also nicknamed the 28-year-old cricketer the ‘ice-man’ and lauded Tewatia’s ability to remain unruffled during the tense moments.
