Huge discount on buying Maruti Eeco Ambulance, vehicle price cut by Rs 88,000

According to the revised GST rates released by the Finance Ministry, the GST on items related to Covid-19 has been reduced. Due to this, vehicle manufacturer Maruti has announced a reduction in the prices of the ambulance version of its Eco van in India. The company announced this through a regulatory filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange and informed that the price of the company’s Eeco vehicle has been cut by Rs 88,000 as per the changed GST rates.

For information, let us tell you that earlier this GST rate was 28% which has now been reduced to 12%. As per the reduced rates, the total cost of Maruti Eeco Ambulance comes to Rs. 6.16 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). At the same time, this reduction in GST rates will be valid till September 30, 2021. Maruti Suzuki said in a regulatory filing that the cost of the Eco Ambulance will come down by Rs 88,000 as per the revised GST rates released by the Finance Ministry. Due to which there will be a reduction in the ex-showroom price of the Eco Ambulance, and the revised price in Delhi will be 6,16,875.

Ambulances have been removed from the category of luxury items after the decision taken in the 44th meeting of the GST Council. Due to which now the GST of only 12 percent will have to be paid instead of 28 percent on the purchase of a new ambulance. Let us tell you, earlier ambulances were considered a luxury item.
