India’s first Corona vaccine ‘Covishield’ will be available in the market in 73 days. Another special thing related to this vaccine is that under the National Immunization Program, the Government of India will give free corona vaccine to every Indian.

Let us tell you that Covishield is being made by Serum Institute, a biotech company in Pune.

According to Business Today report, officials of Serum Institute of India said that the Indian government has given special construction priority license to our company. Under this, the company has accelerated the process of vaccine trial protocol.

It is expected that the vaccine trial will be completed in 58 days. Significantly, the first dose of the third phase of the vaccine has been given on Saturday, while the second dose can be given only after 29 days from the first dose given on Saturday.

Its report will come out 15 days after the second dose of the vaccine. Kovishield is being planned to market only after all phases of the vaccine are completed.

Covid toll in Karnataka is a worrying sign for state government

Even though Karnataka recorded the lowest number of Covid deaths in April since the virus struck first in 2020, the state is recording a rise in the positivity rate (1.50 per cent). Five people died from the Covid infections in April as per the statistics released by the state health department. In March, the positivity rate stood around 0.53 per cent. In the first week of April it came down to 0.38 per cent, second week registered 0.56 per cent, third week it rose to 0.79 per cent and by end of April the Covid positivity rate touched 1.19 per cent.
