COVID-19 UPDATE : 12,881 new cases of corona virus infection in the last 24 hours in India

Across the country, the corona speed is now increasing twice as fast. There have been 12,881 new cases of corona virus infection in the last 24 hours in India.

This is the largest record of new cases in a day. In 24 hours, 334 people have been confirmed dead due to infection.

The total number of corona infected people in India now stands at 3,66,946. Of these, 1,60,384 cases are active and 1,94,325 people have recovered after treatment.

A total of 12,237 people have died due to infection so far. Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat are the states most affected by the corona infection.

According to the latest update released by the Health Department this morning, the total confirmed cases in the country are 3,66,946, in which 12,237 people have died.

At present there are 1,60,384 active cases in the country. At the same time, the number of recoveries has increased to 1,94,325. In the last 24 hours, 12,881 new cases were reported. While 334 people died.

Covid toll in Karnataka is a worrying sign for state government

Even though Karnataka recorded the lowest number of Covid deaths in April since the virus struck first in 2020, the state is recording a rise in the positivity rate (1.50 per cent). Five people died from the Covid infections in April as per the statistics released by the state health department. In March, the positivity rate stood around 0.53 per cent. In the first week of April it came down to 0.38 per cent, second week registered 0.56 per cent, third week it rose to 0.79 per cent and by end of April the Covid positivity rate touched 1.19 per cent.
