The pace of corona virus is increasing in the country. According to the latest report of the Ministry of Health, the total number of patients in India has now increased to 1 lakh 45 thousand 380. At the same time, the number of people dying from this disease has increased to 4 thousand 167.

According to new data released by the ministry, so far more than 60 thousand people have defeated this virus. If we talk about the last 24 hours, 6 thousand 535 new cases of corona have been reported in the country and 146 people have died.

At the same time, the total confirmed case of Corona in Tamil Nadu has crossed 17 thousand and 118 people have lost their lives so far.

Even though Karnataka recorded the lowest number of Covid deaths in April since the virus struck first in 2020, the state is recording a rise in the positivity rate (1.50 per cent). Five people died from the Covid infections in April as per the statistics released by the state health department. In March, the positivity rate stood around 0.53 per cent. In the first week of April it came down to 0.38 per cent, second week registered 0.56 per cent, third week it rose to 0.79 per cent and by end of April the Covid positivity rate touched 1.19 per cent.
