Will Corona wreak havoc in June? Know what the graph says

There have been 62,939 cases of corona infection in India. 19,358 people have been cured while 2109 people have died of the disease.

Amidst all this, AIIMS director Randeep Guleria’s statement has raised fears among people in which he said that Corona cases may be at its peak in June-July.

Guleria said that according to the current data and the way the cases are increasing, the infection may be the fastest in June-July, however once the infection reaches the peak it will decline.

The graph of countries like Italy, America, China also says the same. On the rise in the Corona case in the country, he said that the proportion of testing and infecting remains the same. There is no increase in that.

There are now 80–90 thousand tests in India every day. It is constantly increasing. More than one lakh testing will start soon.

Covid toll in Karnataka is a worrying sign for state government

Even though Karnataka recorded the lowest number of Covid deaths in April since the virus struck first in 2020, the state is recording a rise in the positivity rate (1.50 per cent). Five people died from the Covid infections in April as per the statistics released by the state health department. In March, the positivity rate stood around 0.53 per cent. In the first week of April it came down to 0.38 per cent, second week registered 0.56 per cent, third week it rose to 0.79 per cent and by end of April the Covid positivity rate touched 1.19 per cent.
