2 lakh 70 thousand people have died due to corona in the world, while around 35 lakh people are infected. In India, 1981 people have died due to coronavirus while more than 60 thousand people are still in the grip of this disease.

Earlier it was being said that with the increase in heat, there will be a decrease in corona cases but this is not seen happening. Amidst all this, a statement by AIIMS director Randeep Guleria has raised concerns.

AIIMS director Randeep Guleria has stated that cases are on the rise in May and may reach its peak in June. However, he also said that there has been a decrease in COVID-19 positive cases due to the lockdown but still patients everyday The number of people is increasing. So far, more than 60 thousand people in India have been infected with corona.

Covid toll in Karnataka is a worrying sign for state government

Even though Karnataka recorded the lowest number of Covid deaths in April since the virus struck first in 2020, the state is recording a rise in the positivity rate (1.50 per cent). Five people died from the Covid infections in April as per the statistics released by the state health department. In March, the positivity rate stood around 0.53 per cent. In the first week of April it came down to 0.38 per cent, second week registered 0.56 per cent, third week it rose to 0.79 per cent and by end of April the Covid positivity rate touched 1.19 per cent.
