CORONA VIRUS : Infection can also happen due to relationship

According to a recent study by Chinese scientists, if a man infected with the corona virus forms a relationship with someone, he may also get corona infection. Because corona virus has been found in the semen of some corona infected men.

This has been revealed in the investigation of 38 male patients infected with corona virus admitted in China’s ShangQue Municipal Hospital. Of these, corona virus infection has been found in the sperm of 6 patients.

Researchers in China have feared that having sex with a corona-infected male may pose a risk of corona virus infection. Because corona virus infection has been found in the sperm of some men. This study has been published in the Jama Network Open.

According to the study, very few such patients have been found. More people will have to investigate to collect more information. Because it may happen that in future the corona virus will fall under the category of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD).

Covid toll in Karnataka is a worrying sign for state government

Even though Karnataka recorded the lowest number of Covid deaths in April since the virus struck first in 2020, the state is recording a rise in the positivity rate (1.50 per cent). Five people died from the Covid infections in April as per the statistics released by the state health department. In March, the positivity rate stood around 0.53 per cent. In the first week of April it came down to 0.38 per cent, second week registered 0.56 per cent, third week it rose to 0.79 per cent and by end of April the Covid positivity rate touched 1.19 per cent.
