Automobile major Tata Motors launches SUV ‘Harrier’ at 12.69 lakh

Mumbai: Automobile major Tata Motors has launched its new SUV “Harrier” at a starting price of Rs 12.69 lakh, ex-showroom Mumbai.

According to the company, “Harrier” is powered by “Kryotec 2.0” Diesel engine, which is mated to a 6-speed Manual Transmission.

Commenting on the launch, Tata Motors CEO and MD Guenter Butschek said: “We showcased the H5X Concept at the Delhi Auto Expo 2018 with a promise to bring it to the Indian market in early 2019. Honouring the same commitment, I am elated to present to you the ‘Harrier’ today.”

Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar launches all-new BMW X5

Mumbai: Billed as the ‘Boss of the segment’, BMW India launched the all-new BMW X5 which offers supreme sporting prowess, fresh modern design, refined interiors, driving comfort and authoritative driving attributes, here on Thursday.

Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar did the honours for the new Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) in the presence of BMW Group India President Hans-Christian Baertels.

“It is bigger and better, grown in all dimensions and makes a powerful statement. It’s the ‘Boss of the segment’,” remarked Baertels.

“You feel like a boss…It’s a bit of a boss even on the road, and you can take this car wherever you want,” concurred Tendulkar, when asked about his driving experience with the BMW X5.

Baertels added that the BMW’s SAV’s were established in 1999 with the BMW X5, which went onto become the best selling and most successful car in the segment.

 

Sachin Tendulkar rolls out all new bigger-better BMW X5:

 

“It has become one of the most successful models. The fourth-gen, all new BMW X5 is bound to add another chapter in the success story. It has a greater blend of premium luxury performance, technology and comfort,” he said.

To be manufactured locally, the BMW X5 is available in three design schemes – Sport, xLine and M Sport – in metallic Mineral While, Phytonic Blue and Black Sapphire colours.

A key feature is the enlarged one-piece hexagonal grille paired with a sculptured bonnet and short overhands, giving its iconic front an imposing appearance.

Presently, the BMW X5 xDrive30d Sport is available at Rs 72,90,000 and BMW X5 xDrive30d xLine at Rs 82,40,000, both ex-showroom, while the petrol variant BMW X5 xDrive40i AM Sport at Rs 82,40,000 will be available later this year.
