To keep our country clean is our duty: Anushka Sharma

Mumbai : Anushka Sharma, who recently joined the Swachh Bharata Abhiyan, says as a citizen it is everyones duty to keep the country clean.

The 29-year-old actor says keeping the surroundings clean will help people live in a healthy environment.

Anushka today joined the cleanliness drive at the Versova beach here and shared the picture of the same on Instagram.

 “To keep our country clean is our duty. Everyday we do things for ourselves, just a little bit of awareness and consciousness in keeping our surroundings clean will enable us to live in a healthy environment…” she wrote.
 
 She also quoted Mahatma Gandhi, “An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching”. And urged people to do their bit to keep the environment clean.

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gold’ to release in China on Dec 13

Mumbai: Superstar Akshay Kumar-starrer sports drama “Gold” is slated to release in China on December 13.

Announcing the news, Akshay on Wednesday took to Twitter and wrote: “‘GOLD’ releasing in China on 13th December, 2019!”

Directed by Reema Kagti, “Gold” released last year on August 15. The film traces the golden era of Indian hockey through the journey of Tapan Das, a young assistant manager who dreamt of playing for an independent nation.

The film also stars Mouni Roy, Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor and Sunny Kaushal.

Also, “Gold” was released in Saudi Arabia last year and according to Akshay Kumar, it’s the first Hindi film to release there.

“The story of India’s first Gold medal victory for the first time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Happy to share, ‘Gold’ is the first ever Bollywood movie to release in the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia,” Akshay had tweeted.
