China accuses Dalai Lama for anti-China protests in Delhi

New Delhi: China today accused Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama for being behind the protests during his visit to India for BRICS summit.Days before Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to India several protest were conducted by Tibetan group.Jamphel Yeshi a Tibetan activist set himself ablaze during a protest on Monday against Hu's visit and died at a hospital yesterday.Director General of China's Department of Asian Affairs, Luo Zhaohui told media, "The Dalai Lama and the so called pro-independence Tibetan elements are trying to push such extreme and radical views by glorifying and instigating extreme behaviour. This is not consistent with teachings of Buddhism."Hu's was on two-day visit to India to participate in the fourth BRICS summit which ignited a series of anti-China protests.
