Kofi Annan ends talk with Assad, leaves Syria

Beirut: Representative of UN-Arab League, Kofi Annan has finished his discussion with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and leaved Syria with small amount of development on altering the countryâ€™s rising political violence.Kofi Annan said, "I am optimistic for several reasons". He further added, "The situation is so bad and so dangerous that all of us cannot afford to fail", as per the reports.UN Security Council to hold a special meeting on Arab revolts in New York where US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.China and Russia have ceased the efforts to pass the decision of Security Council accusing Damascus for its endeavor to defeat a year-old rebellion by force, in which thousands of them have lost their life. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Feisal repeated his call to provide weapons to Syrian opposition, and said it is the only way to end the conflict without foreign intervention.
