Asian Games Tennis: Gold,  Silver to India

Guangzhou: India's Somdev Devvarman and Sanam Singh presented some ecstatic performance at the Asian Games to grab the tennis men's doubles title at the prestigious Asian Games. The terrifc duo clinched gold with a sensational 3-7, 7-6 (4), 1-0(8) victory over Chinese Maoxin Gong and Zhe Li at the Asian Games on Monday.The sixth-seeded Indians defeated the second-seeded Chinese in one hour and 45 minutes whereas on the other hand India's Sania Mirza and Vishnu Vardhan had to content with a silver medal in the mixed doubles event of tennis competitions following a 6-4, 1-6, 0-1 loss to Chinese Taipei's Yung Jan Chan and Tsung Hua Yang at the Asian Games on Monday.Sania had won a gold with Leander Paes in the mixed doubles in the previous edition of Asiad at Doha.She won a bronze in the singles event here.
